Rules
  • Click a piece to highlight valid captures.
  • Or drag a piece to capture.
  • Every move must be a capture.
  • Leave only one piece to win.

How to Play

1

Full chess rules, full board

Chess Solitaire uses an 8×8 board with pieces moving by standard chess rules, including directional pawns.

2

Pick any piece to start

Click a piece to make it your active attacker. It must immediately capture an enemy piece to begin the chain.

3

Keep the chain alive

After each capture, the piece that just captured must take another enemy piece. You cannot pass or switch attackers mid-chain.

4

Leave no piece standing

Every enemy piece must be captured before the chain ends. Some starting pieces lead to dead ends — if stuck, undo and try another.
